2019 Opportunity Scholarship Winner Announcement

The Moser Team is excited to announce the winner of our 2019 Opportunity Scholarship!
Jessica M. is an outstanding Denver student who has consistently challenged herself academically throughout her high school career. She chose to pursue the International Baccalaureate program at her school—a big commitment to a tough curriculum. As part of her scholarship application Jessica wrote the following:
A college education will allow me to further develop and grow as a person. By seeking a higher education degree, I feel that I will further better myself and my future. Coming from a household where neither of my parents received a college education, I have seen their struggles and hardships, and I want to be able to create a better life for myself. I feel that stronger test scores will better my chances of getting into college, while also increasing the possible amount of financial aid I can receive. Stronger test scores will help make the process of seeking higher education easier and will increase my confidence in achieving my future goals. I feel as if my test scores now do not truly reflect my potential nor who I am as a student. Unfortunately, I get very anxious when being tested, and I this causes my scores to not truly reflect my abilities. Having more support around the tests will help ease my fears and help me achieve stronger test scores. Overall, stronger test scores will help me achieve my goals of seeking a higher education and eventually help me build a better life for myself.
Each year, Moser offers opportunity scholarships of $1,500 to $2,400 to students of limited financial means who have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and excellent performance throughout high school but whose test scores do not effectively show their academic achievements. Stronger test scores can not only open doors to college admission but can also unlock scholarship money that makes attaining a college education more feasible.
Jessica will receive a full course of personalized, one-on-one test preparation with a Master Instructor, our ACT/SAT course textbook, practice exams, and a whole team to back her up. We are proud to be able to play a small part in Jessica’s future success.
